CHANDIGARH: The five member “panthic committee,” headed by Dr Sohan Singh and four underground militant organisations have said that under no circumstances will they give up their goal of “independent and sovereign Khalistan”.
They said in a joint press note that they would neither allow the struggle to weaken nor any hurdles to come in between. They said they would promote brotherhood with other likeminded bodies struggling for the attainment of Khalistan. They would take these bodies into confidence with a feeling of forgiveness for past mistakes. Efforts would be made to remove misunderstandings.
The statement said the committee and organisations would not shirk any sacrifice required for the fulfillment of the target of Khalistan. The committee said it felt proud in releasing the letter written by Bhai Sukhdev Singh, alias Sukha, and Bhai Harjinder Singh, alias Jinda, making it clear that they would neither seek mercy nor make an appeal against the death sentence awarded to them in the General A.S. Vaidya assassination case. They were of the view that after the letter of Bhai Jinda and Bhai Sukha became public, the course of events would undergo a big change. The letter should be an eye opener for the oppressed and the minorities living in the country. “The “panthic committee” pledges before the Khalsa Panth that it will do everything possible for the fulfillment of the dreams of the two and will come forward with any action required for that,” it said.
The statement has been signed by Dr Sohan Singh (panthic committee), Bhai Gurjant Singh Budhsinghwala (KLF), Bhai Sukhdev ‘Singh Babbar (Babbar Khalsa Interational); Bhai Daljit Singh (AlSSF), Bhai Paramjit Singh Panjwar (KCF); Bhai Mahal Singh, Bhai Wadhawa Singh, Bhai Satinderpal Singh and Bhai Harmandar Singh Sultanwind. 142 kg gold seized NEW DELHI: Antismuggling agencies seized 142 kg of gold and 45 ingots of the yellow metal worth over Rs 50 million has been seized here and in Bombay.
