LONDON: World Snooker Champion Steve Davis was fined 12,000 pounds sterling (21,600 dollars) on Thursday for refusing to give Media interviews during a British Snooker tournament earlier this month.
Davis was among seven players fined by the world professional billiards and snooker association for refusing to speak to press and television journalists during the rothmans grand prix tournament in reading, Southern England.
Davis, five times world snooker champion, collected 65,000 pounds (117,000 dollars) in winnings at the tournament.
