WASHINGTON: The assassination of Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh and the deaths of at least 16 other people “should be a wakeup call to the Sikh Nation and the Indian regime,” said Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh, President of the Council of Khalistan, “Beant Singh was an enemy of the Sikh ‘Nation who murdered his own people at the behest of the Indian regime,” said Dr. Aulakh, “He killed 25,000 Sikh young men. They were arrested, tortured, and murdered; their bodies were cremated, then listed as ‘unidentified,” Now he has been killed. We condemn violence, whether committed by individuals or by the Indian regime,” Dr. Aulakh said, He pointed at that “only’4.3% of the Sikhs in Punjab, Khalistan voted for Beant Singh as Chief Minister in the 1992 elections, which the Sikh Nation boycotted,” Dr. Aulakh pointed out that “Beant Singh paid more than 41,000 cash bounties to police officers for Killing his fellow Sikhs, as the State Department reported, Yet the regime promoted this murder to the extent that he compared himself to Guru Gobind Singh, a terrible act of blasphemy, Beant Singh had no legitimacy,” Dr. Aulakh said. Dr. Aulakh said, I call upon the Sikh Nation to remain calm, Indian agents will try to create disturbances as they did after Indira’ Gandhi was assassinated in 1984, so that more Sikh blood will be shed, Do not fall for this provocation,” Dr. Aulakh said, “I warn the Indian tyrants: the world is awake this time, There had better not be a repetition of the 1984 campaign of terror.”

“Today I am issuing an appeal to the Sikh Nation,” he said. “All Sikhs in the Congress Party must resign and Join the people in working to liberate Khalistan, I call upon Punjab Police officers and soldiers to stop killing and torturing their own people, I appeal to Sikh army officers and soldiers to stop killing Muslims in Kashmir, Christians in Nagaland.

Manipuri’s, Assamese, and other minorities, Minorities are being used to kill minorities and promote the agenda of Hindu fan at whose aim is to’ make India a Hindu nation with the Hindi language and Hindu supremacy,” Dr. Aulakh said. “I call upon the Sikh leadership to start a shantmai morcha (peaceful agitation) to liberate Khalistan. Khalistan is the only way to end the genocide. I call upon the Indian puppets Badal and Tohra to get out of politics do not stand in the way of the Sikh Nation any longer,” said Dr. Aulakh. “Sikhs do not want India’s phony autonomy, as proposed by the already rejected Anandpur Sahib Resolution; we want Khalistan and only Khalistan, and finally, I call upon the international community not to fall prey to India’s disinformation which slanders the Sikh Nation.”

“It is in the interest of the Indian regime to recognize that Sikhs want a free Khalistan,” Dr. Aulakh aid “We are committed to peaceful means, but we will make any sacrifice for freedom, Sikh tradition says ‘Khalsa Bagi Yan Badshah,’ We will never subn to oppression and slavery. It is in India’s interest to sit down with the Sikh leadership and negotiate the boundaries of an independent Khalistan, as declared on October 7, 1987.
