STOCKTON: Mr. A Shaikh, President of the Kashmir Association of North America has written two letters one to Mr. Wally Herger and to the other World Almanac and Book of facts, pointing out a grave discrepancy in the population of Sikhs in North America.
The universally accepted book of knowledge has been tampered with disinformation by the enemies of the Sikhs. The chart “Estimated ‘Religious Population of the World” on Page 591 of the World Almanac 1989 has reduced the half million Sikh Community in North America to 9, 500 and increased the quarter million Hindu population of North America to 810,000. How could there be 9,500 Sikh in all of North America when there are, according to you (World Sikh News, November 3, 1989, Page 3) 15,000 Sikh constituents in your electoral district (Chico and Red ding, CA) alone.
“This kind of “statistical” genocide is nothing new for the oppressed minorities in the “World’s” largest democracy” where the idol worshiping Hindu majority has been doing this to all believers of one God in India like the Christian Nagas, the Muslim Kashmiris and the Sikh Punjabis since the time of independence in 1947, What shocks and alarms us is that they have imported these Nazi tactics to the shores of the United States the citadel of freedom jin this would and have tried to undermine a respected American Institution like the Encyclopedia Britannica and World Almanac with dis information. They should not be allowed to get away with it. Sir, Mr. Herger we need your help perhaps the learned Indian Ambassador can offer an explanation to a friend of the Sikh’s like you.”
