BIRMINGHAM: Jathedar Balbir Singh Babbar the head of Babbar Khalsa International in the U.K. has condemned the destruction of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya by Hindu fanatics as a ploy orchestrated by the Indian Govt. to provoke the Muslims of India and create a situation to brand them as terrorists.

Drawing a parallel with the onslaughts on the Sikh shrines-the Golden Temple at Amritsar-in 1984 when the Indian rulers had deliberately hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikhs leaving them with only two options. They could either demonstrate their anger enabling the rulers to brand them as terrorists and crush them or take it lying down so that further humiliations could be perpetrated on them-ultimately reducing them to object slavery. The desecration and demolition of Babri Masjid was calculated to create a similar situation for the Muslims.

Following the teachings of their political prophet Chanakya the Indian rulers have been pursuing the policy of subjugation or annihilation of non-Hindus ever since independence in 1947 he said. They use Hindu fanatics to provoke riots brand the provoked religious minorities as terrorists and then send down troops to punish them for having protested against the excesses of the majority community.

He deplored the apparent insensitivity of world powers towards this policy of give the underdog a bad name and shoots him.

The powers-that-be are not so naive that they cannot see through the Indian ploys as their responses to similar situations elsewhere in the world show he said. The only explanation for their apparent insensitivity is convenience hopes of trade deals and political compromises with the rulers of this so-called biggest democracy in the modern world.

He appealed to the fair-minded and justice-loving people of the world to put their weight behind the victims of Indian excesses Sikhs Muslims Buddhists Christians. Dalit’s and others-and induce their Governments to take effective measures to protect these victims from the Indian fascists.

He proposed economic political even military sanctions against India to force her to abandon this policy of harassment intimidation humiliation and extermination of religious minorities

He assured the Indian Muslims that the Babbar Khalsa stood solidly behind them in this hour of need and invited the Muslims all over the world to a Sikh-Muslim alliance to stage peaceful protests and lobbying campaigns in support of the Indian Muslims.

LUDHIANA PUNJAB: A special meeting of Babbar Khalsa International high command was held somewhere near Ludhiana Punjab that was attended by Bhai Mehal Singh Babbar Bhai Wadhawa Singh Babbar Bhai Kulwant Singh Babbar Bhai Balwinder Singh Canga Bhai Daljit Singh Babbar and other senior members in which the following statement was issued.

Babbar Khalsa International strongly condemns the Hindu terrorists and the Indian government for destroying the Babri Masjid at Ayodhya India. This act was sponsored by the Indian government which has recently become a puppet in the hands of Hindu terrorists The Hindu leaders had repeatedly assured the Indian Supreme Court that only ceremonial activities would be conducted near the Babri Masjid. Under a predetermined plan they incited the Hindu mobs around noon time The fact that no effort was made even to disperse the crowd alone indicates that everything was well-planned in advance The police did nothing to stop the mob As a matter of fact the police fled the scene.

The Indian government was fully aware of the coming events and failed to deploy military to protect the religious place of the Muslims. The destruction of Babri Masjid is a gross injustice to the Muslim people and minorities in general. The minorities have no security and rights in India.

The destruction of the religious places of minorities in India is not new. The Hindu govt. has destroyed the Akal Takhat of the Sikhs and the temples of the Jains and the Buddhists. This is another step by the Hindu fanatics to destroy the minority religions in India.

There are no historical facts that this place was the birthplace of Lord Rama. If this were the birthplace of Rama why did not the Hindus stop the Muslim king Babur from building this mosque in the 16th century? The Muslim rulers have long gone. Why did the Hindus wait almost four and a half centuries before taking any action? The fact is that the Vishay Hindu Parishad and Bhartiya Janata Party want to drive the Muslims and other minorities out of India by hurting their pride and religious feelings.

We call upon the fellow Sikhs and Muslim brothers to strongly condemn the heinous act of the Indian govt. and the Hindu rule of terror. The Muslims and minorities must take the matter in their own hands. There is no justice in India for minorities. If these Hindu fundamentalists are not stopped it would be only a matter of time before they will find another mosque or non-Hindu religious place to be destroyed.

We whole-heatedly share the grief with our Muslim friends and ask the international community to take proper action against the Indian govt. The Indian govt. already has a very poor record for human’s rights. This shameful act is another nail in the coffin of the Indian government.

Babbar Khalsa International fully supports the rights of the Muslims and other minorities in India and elsewhere.
