FRESNOCA: The Sikh Students Federation Fresno State celebrated Kirtan night on April 41992 at Gurdwara Saheb of Fresno. Kirtan night intended at getting with community involved with the federation in teaching children and Sikh youth the basic principles of Sikhism and getting them to realize problems facing the Sikhs.
Various Ragis were called to spread the word of guru ji Bhai Sital Singh Dardis Jatha came from L.A. to perform Shabad Kirtan Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bhai Rajinder Singh Sungu Bibi Mandip Kaur and Bhai Daya Singh also performed Shabad Kirtan. Federation members Bhai Beant Singh and Manjit Singh recited “Deh Shiva var Moha haf” Shabad and Ranbeer Singh sang Khavita on Punjab situation.
Federation member from Chico Univ Bhai Sukhdev Singhtalked about Nishan Sahib situation at their University and thanked S.S.F. Fresno for getting involved with children and community. Stage sewa was served by Federation Member and Public relations officer Bhai Parminder Singh.
At the end S.S.F Fresno President Parminder Singh Sanghera thanked the Sangatand asked them to join the federation at Gurudwara Saheb Caruthers for Shaheedi Shamagam on April 17-19.
W.S.O. President Gurcharan S.Dhillon W.S.N. editor-inchief Dr.Gurinder S.Grewal Panthic Committee spokesperson Dr. Amarjit Singh K avishri Jatha Jaswinder Singh Uppal Ragi Jatha Sital S.Dardi and various performances by members of Sikh Students Federation are scheduled to perform and discuss Sikh issues. Sangats from all over California are invited to this special gathering in remembrance of shaheeds of Khalsa Panth.
