‘CLOMBO, May 26, Reuter: India admitted on Thursday it lost eight soldiers in a battle against Tamil guerrillas in Sri Lanka but the rebels said they killed 25 Indian troops.
The Indian high commission said the engagement, which began on Monday in a major rebel base in the jungle, was continuing.
