The Gurdwara Parbandak Committee Sri Guru Singh Sabha Canada (Malton) is actively considering for the creating of an Educational Centre for the Sikh Community children. So far no such Educational Centre exists throughout Ontario Region although there are numerous Gurdwaras and Sikh Societies in existence. By the grace of ALMIGHTY the complex of our Sikh Temple is blessed with all such facilities for an Educational Centre including Park, Playgrounds, etc.

In order to meet the persistent demands of the parents of the Malton, Mississauga and adjoining areas, Our Educational Sikh Centre will have the following facilities for all children of Elementary level:

  1. Heritage Language (Punjabi) Programs including traditions.
  2. Games and Cultural activities.
  3. Library and Resource Centre.
  4. Arts/Crafts and Cooking classes.
  5. Canadian History & Geography.
  6. Training for Vocal and Instrumental Music.
  7. Audio Visual Materials/Video Tape Program.

In order to implement such a big Sikh Educational Centre, the Gurdwara Parbandak Committee has decided to start an Educational Trust via “GURU NANAK EDUCATIONAL TRUST” to meet all the incurring expenses of this Centre. We humbly request the SIKH SANGAT to donate to this Trust. This Trust will work under the Management of the Gurdwara Parbandak Committee and for this task an EDUCATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE will be formed which will work for the Institution with the close cooperation of Peel Board of Education. Those who donate will be issued separate Receipts of the Trust.
