IRVINE: Dr. Harbans Singh Sraon has thanked his supporters in his bid for the Irvine Unified School board elections.

Even though Dr. Sraon failed to unseat the two incumbents, he came second among four challengers with 2291 votes,

Dr. Sraon in a statement said that he received an overwhelming support of the intelligentsia in the area. An academician, Dr. Sraon was the most qualified candidate fighting for the post.

Dr. Sraon resented the fact that ‘one Yogi Sharma tried to give anti Sikh bias to what was an academic issue. Dr. Sraon felt that it was done at the behest of officials of the government of India.

This Yogi Sharma approached ‘one American lady and tried to influence her vote by linking Dr. Sraon with terrorism.

Yogi Sharma is known to be a tout of Indian Consulate.

Dr. Sraon reiterated that he will continue to participate in local activities. He also made a fervent appeal to all the Sikhs to participate in the mainstream politics of the US.
