The one year ban imposed on the six Indian cricketers by the authorities because of their unofficial tour of USA and Canada, is absurd. It is not a step in the right direction. The spirit of the game is lost somewhere. The ban will greatly affect cricket, as the present team is in the process of rebuilding.
