DALLAS, Texas: On Nov.2, 1986, the Sangat of Gurdwara Singh Sabha of Dallas, Texas paid special tributes to the ‘martyrs of the Khalsa Panth. Prof. P.S, Chatha, Sardar J. S, Grewal, and Sardar H.S. Dhingra spoke on the occasion.

The Sangat was asked to offer prayers of thankfulness for all the Sikh heroes and martyrs. Proud and grateful recognition were given to shaheeds like the late Sardar Beant Singh, the courageous Sardar Satwant Singh, and many others who have vowed to make extreme sacrifices for the righteous demands of the Sikh Nation

It was unequivocally stated that the destiny of all Sikhs is inextricably related to the state of Punjab and the demand for the fulfillment of the Sikh dreams must continue with FULL ZEAL until the goal is attained, so that Sikhs may thrive in accordance with the high ideals of their Faith.

While the Sikhs of Punjab remain subject to utmost humiliations, false encounters, and daily tortures of unspeakable inhumanity, it is incumbent upon each Sikh to think of himself as an ambassador of the Sikh community by being the VOICE of the humiliated, the tortured, the suffering, the discriminated and the martyred Sikhs. Special efforts must be made to win the understanding of the Americans and the international community. Prof. Chatha urged the Sangat to extend friendly hands across to all the faiths in the world, and unite under one banner to help the guillotined children of Punjab.
