IRVINE, CA: A speaker at the meeting of the National Council of the John Birch Society here on March 1, mentioned the World Sikh News as his source of information and spoke about the Sikhs.

John Katz, the moderator of 860 KTRB talk show, while addressing the council said, “The Sikhs are some of the most marvelous people that I have come in contact with in my life… The Sikhs are only a minority group in a gigantic country, and yet they are the leaders in the arts. The sciences, industry.”

“All they are asking for is religious freedom and autonomy. So please, the next time you meet a Sikh shake hands and give him a hug. He is trying to do the same thing for his country that we are trying to do for ours,” Katz said.

The meeting had delegates from all over the United States.
