NEW DELHI: A visiting Soviet envoy, Kozyrey, called on Indian external affairs minister Inder Kumar Gujral here Friday.
The envoy briefed Gujral on the outcome of last week’s Washington summit meeting between President George Bush and President Mikhail Gorbachev.
The Kashmir issue is understood to have figured at the summit.
Both Washington and Moscow have counseled Pakistan not top internationalize the Kashmir issue and resolve it bilaterally with India within the framework of the Shimla accord of 1972.
