NEW DELHI: Sonia Gandhi widow of the slain former premier Rajiv Gandhi Monday appealed to all congressmen to work unitedly in upholding the values of the party and towards fulfilling the dream of Rajiv Gandhi of a strong and united India.
In a letter to the party president PY Narasimha Rao thanking him for his words of solace following Gandhi’s assassination May 21 Sonia said she hoped that her husband’s ultimate sacrifice for his beloved country would be a source of great strength to Each congressman and woman.
