ISLAMABAD (PTI): In a dramatic move Irfanullah Khan Marwat son-in-law of the former president Ghulam Ishaq Khan has been named an accused in two cases of kidnapping for ransom and illegal detention of a provincial assembly member in Sindh during the regime of the late Jam Sadiq Ali.
The kidnapping case related to the abduction of three persons on March 301991 and their subsequent release on payment of Rs 6 lakhs; The CIA also named Marwat Mazari and some police Officers as main accused in a case of illegal confinement of Hakim Bloch and some other the then opposition Pakistan people’s party members during the Jam Sadiq era.
According to the first information report Baloch had been allegedly detained in order to prevent him from voting in the elections for senate the upper house of Parliament
