Here are some of the last wishes expressed by the two Sikh youths Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha and Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda executed by India on October 9.1992;
At the time of execution, they should be exempted from wearing the usual jail costume, Instead, they should be allowed to wear white clothes with saffron colored piece of cloth to cover their heads;
They should themselves be allowed to lie the noose around their necks rather than a professional government executioner doing so;
Their last remains be cremated according to Sikh rites;
The last remains should be handed over to their parents and the parents should not insist on this demand in the event of the jail staff refusing;
There should be complete peace in Punjab and elsewhere and the Sikh freedom fighters should not indulge in any retaliatory action;
Immediately 2fter their execution, necessary provision be made to distribute sweet eatables among the jail staff, beginning with the executioner, in celebration of the event,
Striking a personal note, Bhai Jinda asked his mother not to interrupt a schedule marriage ceremony in the family only because of the execution because the business of the world must go on as usual.
