NEW DELHI: Asia’s most wanted criminal Charles Sobhraj is not likely to be released from the Tihar Central Jail despite the Delhi court order granting him bail in the sensational jail break case.
Delhi administration sources said some criminal cases as well as proceedings for his extradition for Thailand were pending.
The sources said a person could not be extradited to another country with which a treaty existed, if any criminal case was pending against the accused.
The sources said Sobhraj had also not been able to furnish his sureties so far.
