CHANDIGARH: Black Cats attacked the Punjab Mail killing six persons Monday night while eight were killed in other incidents of Black Cats violence in Punjab since Monday.

Black Cats fired from automatic weapons at the Punjab Mail, soon after it had started from Ferozepur, near Kasubegu railway station in Faridkot district of Punjab.

Four passengers and two railway police personnel were killed and five injured official reports here said.

The Cats who were standing along the track fired indiscriminately at the train as it neared them, a passenger told PTI. The assailants escaped after the attack.

Among the killed were a woman and two jawans of the railway police force. The injured were hospitalised.

Armed men shot dead two persons in Sursingh wala village under Bikhiwind police station. They first kidnaped a woman, Sita, and then took her to the house of one Partap Singh where they killed both of them.
