NEW DELHE. A Delhi session court on Monday directed’ the special investigation team (SIT), which probed the assassination case of Indira Gandhi, to move the in charge of record room at Tis Hazari courts for the return of documents and articles seized in connection with the case.

Disposing off an SIT application, seeking return of the seized material additional sessions Judge Usha Mehra said the record room in-charge “is competent to return the documents as the (trial) file is consigned to the record room”.

The SIT has asked for return of 15 exhibited items, 163 non exhibited documents or articles and 21 papers seized from the custody of R K Dhawan, former special assistant to Indira Gandhi,

Some of the documents and articles belong to Kehar Singh and Satwant Singh, convicted and hanged in the assassination case, and of witnesses listed.
