SAN JOSE, CA: The Sikhs of Bay Area are showing great enthusiasm on the visit of the Akal Takhat Chief, Singh Sahib Professor Manjit Singh. Akal Takhat Sahib is the highest spiritual and temporal authority of the Sikhs. Singh Sahib will visit San Jose and Stock- ton Gurdwaras on Aug.21-22, 94. This is the first visit of the Jathedar to the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Sikhs are waiting eagerly for Jathedar’s arrival and to listen to Kinan and Gumat views. It is expected that Sikhs from far off places will be visiting San Jose and Stockton Gurdwaras and listen to Prof, Manjit Singh Ji, Bhai Jit Singh Bainiwal, President of Sikh Gurdwara San Jose informed World Sikh News about the Jathedar’s trip and program, He mentioned that Prof. Manjit Singh is going to address the Sikhs and enthrall the Sikh congregation by ‘singing Gurbani on are 21-22, both in the morning and the evening. Bhai Jit Singh Bainiwal informed that in addition to being an eloquent speaker, a great thinker and a Sikh philosopher, Prof. Manjit Singh is an accomplished Kirtania (religious hymn singer) also.
It is expected that Jathedar of the Akal Takhat will discuss a wide range of matters concerning Sikhs in Punjab and elsewhere. Sikhs all over the world support Jathedar Sahib and Sir Akal Takhat Sahib in achieving his goal of propagating the Sikh religion and Gurmat principles. Sikhs and Jathedar will also have a discussion on the problems faced by the Sikhs and specially the Sikh youth in foreign centuries.
The issue of Khalistan will discussed with Jathedar Sahi which is one of the most important topics. A very large majority of Sikhs support Khalistan. They want to send a message through the Jathedar Sahib that people living in USA understand the hard times and horrible conditions faced by their Sikhs brethren living in India and’ the barbaric and discriminatory attitude of government of India towards them. The Sikhs of USA lend every kind of support to their brethren in Khalistan and would discuss the atrocities com- mitted against the Sikh by Brahmin Indian regime.
Sadh Sangat is cordially invited to see the Jathedar Sahib and listen to his views.
