HOUSTON, Texas: Pakistan Association had its Annual Banquet on January 10, 1987, in which Pakistan Ambassador and U.S. Congressman, Jack Fields were the main speakers. More than 400 adults attended the dinner that was marked by speeches and a variety program. 16 Sikhs also attended as guests of the Association. Sikh guests included: S. Ganga Singh Dhillon, and S. Hardam Singh Azad. Bill Qureshi, who made an unsuccessful bid to the U.S. Congress as a Republican candidate in the last November elections was also present.

The Association President, Mr. Musroor Khan, made a special mention of the Sikh guests’ presence.

Next morning, Mr. Bill Qureshi and some local Muslims had a breakfast meeting at the residence of S. Hardam Singh Azad where ways and means to strengthen the Sikh Muslim Friendship Society were discussed.
