KANSAS CITY: A group of five Silchs from the Kansas City area joined the local Christian, Jewish, and Moslem communities for the eighth annual “Floating Lantern Ceremony”.
This annual event was planned in remembrance of the first use of nuclear weapons and their devaStating impact on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
This year’s event, on Wednesday was sponsored by the Kansas City Interfaith Peace Alliance and included reflections, music, Poetry, singing, and interpretive dance.
The human life that was lost and the spiritual tragedy of these days were remembered.
