ONTARIO: Mr Earnie in English teacher of a collegiate institute in Cambridge has a Sikh student in his class. This makes the teacher curious to know about Sikhism. His student refers him to T.S. Sodhi a local community leader. A get-together between Sikh volunteer educators and Church members was held at the First United Church Cambridge May 13. A really interested and responsive audience of about 20 people listened to an introduction to Sikh history and philosophy given by Prof. Pritam Singh Grewal. S. Gurdev Singh Sangha talked about the 5 Ks and turban whose models were also displayed As a demonstration Mr. Eamic got a turban tied on his head. Then 2 lively sessions of question-answers was followed by sharing tea and snacks served by the Church volunteers Literature on Sikhism was made available. Lastly Mr. Eamie thanked the Sikh guests and showed them different parts of the Church. Some members of the audience expressed a desire to visit a local Gurdwara to see the Sikh service. Later Mr. Eamic told S. T.S. Sodhi that the listeners appreciated the program and said that they learned a lot about Sikhs and their faith. Prof. P.S. Grewal
