STOCKTON: The Sikhs of San Joaquin County gathered to meet and support Pat Johnston as future State Senator at the residence of Lakhmir Singh Grewal, the Director of Air Pollution relief on October 5.

 This was a simple and informal gathering of Sikhs from all walks of life. Mr Lakhmir Grewal started the function by welcoming Pat Johnston and Margie Johnston, Bill Sousa and Sharon Sousa and other guests. Pat Johnston in all probability will be the future senator from 20th district.

Dr. Jasbir Gill introduced Pat Johnston and praised his dedication to the cause of medical facilities for the common man. He also said that Pat Johnston was the first person who wrote against the Violation of Human Rights of Sikhs in

India.

Dr Gurcharan Singh Dhillon President of World Sikh Organisation said that he is supporting Pat for his conviction and dedication to the great American values of liberty and freedom. Mr Narinder S Somal, Secretary of World Sikh News, assured Pat Johnston of the support of World Sikh News.

Hardayal S Dhatt said Pat Johnston is always in the news and only active people occupy more space in the newspapers and he was for Pat Johnston and assured him of his support.

Amarjit Dosanjh, Balbir Grewal and Amrik Gill also spoke on the occasion pledging their support to Pat Johnston.

Raman Grewal and Amrit Grewal, representatives of Sikh youth thanked everyone for allowing them to participate and assured of their keen interest in the politics of the community.

Bill Sousa humoursly introduced Pat Johnston “how quickly is he moving from one hill to another. He moves a lot in his community”.

Pat Johnston thanked everyone for the support and assured the audience he will stand to their aspiration and represent them in the state truely.The hospitality of the Grewal family was appreciated.
