Dear Editor,
I quit going to Gurdwara long time ago because my Sikh brethren fight there. What got me further was: there are the same folks who greet “Wahguru ji Ka Khalsa..,”and these are the same folks who stand up for “Ardas™ and invoke God to free them from five sins (Kam, Karoad, Lobh, Moh, and Hunkar), what is with Our Sikhs. I have written previously in my articles on religion It isn’t what we say makes the religion, it is our lives the way we live.
May I urge, my brother Sikhs should conduct themselves the way Gurus and Sikh scholars have arranged our worship. Instead of parroting the Jupji, Ardas… learn the meaning behind all this. If we want to be a sovereign nation, then we must learn and conduct our self as sovereign people do. If we can’t get along among ourselves, how can we be responsible people among the communities and the world community. Indians have put on enough labels on us, let us not help them confirm it.
