CHICAGO: The annual Sikh Gurbani and Cultural Camp organized by the Sikh Religious Society of Chicago were held in Palatine Illinois on Aug. 1015. Over 100 Sikh children ranging in ages from 718 years attended and benefited from an enrichning religious and cultural experience. The curriculum included Gurbani Prayers Sikh history culture Punjabi language folk dances and sports.

In the evenings the children discussed their problems of growing up in Western culture with parents of eastern background and hammered out various possible solutions.

By participating in this wide variety of activities the children gained inner strength and a better understanding and respect for Sikhism.
