The Sikh Welfare Foundation of North America is pleased to announce the award of two scholarships for the best entries in an essay contest.
The subject for the essay is: The Significance of ‘ARDAS’’ in Sikhism.
The scholarships will be awarded for the best essay as follows:
- A senior scholarship will be awarded to a student between the ages of 1520 years. The amount of the senior scholarship is $300.00.
- A junior scholarship of $200.00 will be awarded to a student below the age of 15 years.
The award essays will ultimately be published in the form of a booklet for distribution. Some consolation wards, in the form of books on Sikhism, may also be given away. The last day for submission of essays is September 1, 1987.
