PALATINE, II: The Sikh congregation of Chicago land in its weekly meeting on September 13, 1987, at the Gurdwara of Sikh Religious Society, Palatine, Illinois, appreciates the lead given by the Panthic Committee which includes the Sikh Priests of highest seats of Sikh religion. After the holocaust of June, 1984, in which the holy shrine of Akal Takht and other Sikh Temples were desecrated by government of India, there was no other way left for the Sikh Nation to break off its relations with such ‘a government and seek complete Panthic independence, The Panthic Committee and Sikh Priests have given the correct lead to the Sikh Panthic in order to maintain
the honor and prestige of Sikhs and live according to Sikh principles. This meeting also notes with appreciation, the support which Sikh Priests have pledged to Sikh youths who are waging a war of independence for the Sikh nation and the directive they have given to all Sikhs to give Sikh youth all support in form of soul body, and wealth, This meeting resolves that the Sikh Sangat of Chicago will whole heartedly obey the directive of the Panthic Committee and lend our all support to the Sikh youth.
