FRESNO: Dr.G.S Sidhu, a well-known Sikh physician in Fresno had a narrow escape when in trying to be helpful to a unwell looking youth, he was fired at several times. The incident occurred on Oct.30, at about 4 p.m. when the doctor and his wife on the way to pick up their children from a neighborhood club, they came across a white youth who looked to be in agony as he moved towards their car while the Doctor obliged to stop. However, he and his wife Jasbir were shocked to be accosted with a gun and told to hand over the car. While getting out the youth hit him on the forehead. The doc tor cleverly keeps the car keys and ran while the youth fired at him but miraculously Gureharan escaped with only a bruise. The youth who had earlier waylaid a lady was apparently on the run. He was later on caught by the Fresno police and taken for questioning. Jasbir Sidhu, also works for the local T.Y, station, was quite unnerved by the incident and vows never (o stop to help again. She said, ““we thank Waheguru for saying us.”
