TRACY, Ca. State sponsored terrorism against minorities in India was condemned through a resolution adopted at the 2nd meeting of the Sikh Muslim Friendship Society held here on October 10, 1986 at the residence of Dr. Gurinder Singh Grewal.

The Society also condemned continued occupation of Afghanistan by the USSR. as well as Indian support to Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, Through another resolution, the Society expressed ‘grave concern at the deportation of Mr. Amanullah Khan, President Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front by the British government under pressure from the government of India.

India government’s policy of using one minority against another came under severe attack by the members and through a resolution they called upon the minorities to see through this sinister game of the Hindu government. They urged all the minorities not to play in the hands of the government.

The Society decided to hold meetings more frequently at various Chapter levels in the country to be followed by a big convention. A seminar will also be ‘organized to correct misrepresentations in History, Eminent scholars and intellectuals will present research papers on religious and cultural affinity between the two communities.
