AMRITSAR: While the “nation” is mourning the assassination of Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) headquarters here functioned as usual.
The SGPC did not observe a holiday on Sept. 1 and decided to transact the daily business as usual. No formal mourning was observed for the Congress: Jeader. (DV 9/95).
