- Sikh holocaust was started by the Indian Govt in June 1984 and still continues. On June 4, 1984 Indian army attacked the Golden Temple (Gurudwara) in Amritsar (Holiest of Sikh Shrine) and 47 other Sikh Gurudwara in the state of Punjab. Thousands of innocent Sikh men, women and children were killed in the operation called “Blue Star’ by the Indian Forces. Indian Army Units and Para Military forces are still occupying the state of Punjab. At this point over 100,000 Sikhs have been killed.
- In Nov.1984 after Mrs. Indira Gandhi’s assassination thousands of innocent Sikh men, women and children were killed. Thousands became homeless and still are. No one was punished for such serious crimes. In fact people responsible for this Sikh holocaust were awarded with ministerial jobs in Rajiv Gandhi’s Government.
- Punjab is under Central Government Rule and is occupied by the Military Units and the civil authorities have lost control of administration. Para Military forces take orders directly from the Central Government. Indian Governments sponsored terrorism continues unabated. The human rights situation in Punjabis very bad and unforgettable, because the right to life has been taken away from the people of Punjab by laws which seek to stop terrorist and disruptive practices, as well as those which give special power to the paramilitary forces. Under these laws a noncommissioned officer of the Armed Forces can order to kill or kill anybody but not be answerable in any court of law for the murder. So far more than 100,000 Sikhs have been killed by Indian paramilitary and military forces. There is one paramilitary or military person present for every 30 citizens in Punjab.
- There are interrogation centers in each district of Punjab where Police and Paramilitary forces have been using the following common methods of torture.
- a) The person being interrogated is laid supine on the floor and a heavy wooden roller is rolled on his thighs.
