CHANDIGARH: The panthic committee and its affiliate organizations have denied the Indian allegation that they had conspired to harm British Prime Minister John Major while he was in this country.

In a Statement circulated here, the Khalistan Commando Force (Panjwar), Khalistan Liberation Force (Sekhon) and B.T.F, (China) said that the Indian aim in spreading this totally baseless charge was to discredit the Sikh movement in the eyes of the people and government of the U.K. The groups said that they never entertained any such thought. India’s efforts to discredit the Sikh movement internationally were childish, they said. The groups reminded the international public opinion that they had put certain demands at the time of abduction of Romanian diplomat Radu. India did not concede any demands but the militants nevertheless released the Romanian diplomat in response to an appeal by international public opinion leaders.

The militant groups asked the international public opinion to beware of the dirty tricks of the Indian government. The world public opinion leaders should see through the Indian game plans in covering up the violations of human rights in Punjab.
