VIRGINIA: Immigration Judge the Honorable John M. Bryant of Arlington Virginia granted political asylum to a Sikh from Punjab India on July 8,192.

Attorney Hamam S .Ameja successfully represented Kabul Singh before the Immigration Court.

 Immigration Judge hear live testimony length from Singh regarding his persecution on account of his religion membership in the All India Sikh Student Federation and political opinion for Khalistan

Honorable Judge Bryant reviewed many documents as background information about the continuous acts of violence torture and other atrocities being committed against the [Sikhs in India. Reports from various human rights organizations including congressional records of U.S Congress and reports from the Department of State were also re viewed by the Judge for the asylum claim

Singh 42 from Punjab was placed in exclusion and deportation proceedings upon arrival in the United States in April 1991 on account of improper documents He was later pa rolled into the United States. After a full bearing the Immigration Judge granted asylum to Singh. The Immigration and /Naturalization Service waived their right to appeal.
