Speaking at a meeting convened by the Union Home Minister with opposition leaders in New Delhi on Feb. 19, Mr. Ramoowalia M.P. brought to the attention of the Home Minister that 25 Sikh families living in Meerut were feeling so oppressed’ by the atmosphere around them that they were thinking of migrating to Punjab. The Home Minister is said to have issued instructions to officials that the matter should be looked into urgently.
