Pay Their
Homage To The Great Martyrs
Sartaj-e-Ouam S. Kehar Singh Fakhar-e-Quam S. Kehar Singh
for sacrificing their lives for the noble cause of protecting the sanctity of our holiest of the holy shrine, Harimander Sahib
It was the best of Sikh faith in S. Satwant Singh that made him declare, “There is no greater privilege for a Sikh than to lay down his life for the protection of his faith. I wish I could be born again and again and each time lay down my life for my faith.”
He touched my feet and said, “J am ready for martyrdom, I am willing to die with my head
held high I will never let down my community.”
(Pyar Kaur, Mother of Satwant)
“Whatever my son did is for the Panth (Sikh Nation)”
(Kartar Kaur, Mother of Beant Singh)
“He was happy, he was laughing, he said that death sentence was God’s wish” Kehar
Singh’s last meeting as described by his wife Jasbir Kaur.
As we salute the brave sons of the Sikh nation let us ask ourselves:
“Are we doing our duty for the cause for which they sacrificed their lives?”
