NEW YORK, N.Y.: The Sikh sangat of the Sikh Cultural Society , Gurdwara Richmond Hill, New York, has decided to perform Akhand Path for the ChardiKala of Ranjit Gill and Sukhminder Singh Sandhu, the two valiant soldiers of conscience, who were arrested by the F.B.I. at the instance of the Indian government. They are currently lodged in the Metropolitan Correctional Centre, New York. The Akhand Path will commence on August 14 at 10 a.m. and the Bhog will take place on August 16th at 10 a.m.
It may be recalled that the two are being implicated in the murder case of Gen. Vaidya who was killed long after the two had arrived in the United States. The Indian government is seeking their extradition on trumped up charges. World Sikh Organization and other Sikh bodies have decided to fight their case in order to defeat the anti-Sikh designs of the Indian government.
