SRINAGAR: It is reliably learnt that Brigadier Ranjit Singh a distinguished Sikh officer of the Indian army, refused to obey an order calling upon him to have his men fire on unarmed Kashmir civilians.
Brig. Ranjit Singh has been placed under the house arrest pending court martial proceedings and his command has been given to a Hindu officer.
