AMRITSAR: In a totally unexpected development S Gurcharan Singh Tohra has stepped down as Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief after 16 years.
S Baldev Singh Sibia (advocate) was unanimously elected the president. All decisions were uncontested. S Dalip S Malunangal is senior vice president, S Sukhdev Singh vice president and S Bir Singh general secretary.
The 1 1member executive comprises Sardars Hardalbir Singh Shah, Karamjit S Panjwad, Ajit S Sekhon, Saroop S Dhesi, Principal Bhagwant Singh, Jathedar Rattan Singh, Sant Dilbagh Singh, Sunder S Nagla, Harnek Singh, Suba Singh and Surjit Singh.
