SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: A $300,000 government-sponsored peace prize was awarded to former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz only after more favored candidates refused to accept it. Seoul Peace Prize Committee selected Shultz as the second recipient of the prize, which was created to commemorate the success of the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
