NEW DELHI: India Wednesday dismissed as “completely untrue” a claim by a former Israeli intelligence agent that it had clandestinely sent a team of nuclear scientists to Israel in 1984.
According to Victor Ostrovsky, a weapons testing expert recruited by the Israeli secret service, Mossad, the purpose of the secret mission was to counter the Islamic bomb (nuclear) being developed by Pakistan.

NEW DELHI: Norway is awaiting the Indian Government’s response to reports of diversion to India of heavy water sold to West Germany, the former Norwegian Prime Minister, Gro Harlem Brundtland, said here Sept 20.
Addressing a news conference, Brundtland said no clear picture had emerged regarding the reported diversion of heavy water exported by her country to West Germany.
She said the Norwegian govt. had written to the Indian govt. eliciting its comments on press reports regarding the diversion.
Brundtland indicated that the matter was likely to be raised in the forthcoming session of Norwegian Parliament.
