NEW YORK, NY: A Divan was held at the Sikh Center of New York in Flushing here on January 21 in the memory of the martyrs of the Sikh Panth, including Bhai Beant Singh, Bhai Satwant Singh, and Bhai Kehar Singh.
The Bhog of an Akhand Path, the continuous recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib was held in the morning after which the Jatha of Bhai Raghbir Singh and Giani Amrit Pal Singh, the Granthi of the Center performed Kirtan the recitation of the hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib.
Sukhbir Singh, of the Sikh Youth of North America addressed the congregation. Bali Singh and Bachiter Singh Virk recited poems.
