The sources said the 11 ministers who had denied having resigned from the ministry Tuesday had never been in the anti-Bangarappa camp and therefore did not matter.
The sources alleged the chief minister had exhibited his “political and administrative ignorance by stating Tuesday that none of his ministerial colleagues were thinking of resigning and that news reports to this effect were a tissue of lies.”
The dissidents said the very fact that the chief minister was ignorant of what was happening in the cabinet was enough cause of action for the high command to sack him.
