OTTAWA: News of the Senators raise to themselves has stirred anger across the country, Due to the protest calls, the senators will be recalled July 12 to vote on rescinding the controversial expense allowance. The votes to recount requires approval by two thirds of a minimum 15 senators present. A Senator spokesperson said the cost of recall could be in the tens of thousands of dollars. Among the 26 Senators who voted for the raise were 15 liberals, 10 conservatives and one independent.
