LUDHIANA: Security forces have been asked to step up anti militant action while ensuring no “harassment” is caused to “innocent” people. The latest order to the security forces comes in the wake of alleged stepped up militant violence in the past few weeks.
Intelligence agencies of the state and center have been sending warning signals to the police apprehending a spurt in violence.
There has been no letup in the activities of the militants outfit who have directed their ire towards the police particularly in the border districts.
There is no likelihood of a change in the police setup. KPS Gill will continue to head the police force. Meanwhile the militant organizations are busy reorganizing, Panthic panel leader and General of the Bhindranwale Tiger Force Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahl and Baba Wassan Singh Zafarwal also Panthic Committee member are still underground.
There is no change in the attitude of neighboring countries and arms are coming from across the border, the police alleged.
