Dear Editor Counselor V.P Sharmas letter of Nov.191993 (India for religious equality) is a faithful example of His Masters Voice. We very much agree with his tooting the secularism of India But regrettably the secularism is on paper only In reality the government can attack the Golden Temple and 40 other shrines to kill thousands of worshippers Four months later the government ministers aided by police and Hindu mobs went on rampage to burn alive Sikhs in all major cities of India. So far no one has been punished for those crimes The same government will allow a 40-year-old mosque to be destroyed and later allow mobs to kill Muslims by the thousands. The Christian churches and Bhodist temples arc under attack constantly. The list is Jong but in all these gases the direct involvement of the government or its tacit approval and support is always there in one form or another. Only those Muslims Chrisuans Budhists Sikhs and Dalit’s will occupy prominent positions in the government who tow the government line and help in oppressing their own brothers in return. India is the only country where one has to belong to a minority religion be converted to Hindu religion or accept death by torture. Human rights organizations have not been permitted to visit India for the past decade. One only has to visit India to witness the treachery and cruelty of the government at its best in the name of Ram Rajeya Rams kingdom.
