BANGALORE: The Janata Dal president S R Bommai Tuesday charged the BJP and Congress-I with having entered in to a “secret understanding” on the Mandir Masjid issue and said the “VHP is the link”.
He told a press conference here the turn of events which included granting of permission by the Congress-I for opening the locks at the Ayodhya temple and the “Shilanyas” conducted by the BJP showed “both the parties are one on this issue”
In their election manifestos also both the BJP and the Congress-I spoke of “building or relocating the Rama temple at Ayodhya” he said adding “the Congress-I is neither secular democratic nor socialistic’
Accusing Rajiv of entering into a“ ‘secret understanding” with the BJP in a bid to ‘recapture’ power he said the real aim of all those parties which loved democracy and socialism should be to wipe Out poverty unemployment and curbing price rise.
He expressed optimism that the National Front would get a clear majority in the coming Lok Sabha poll and it would form a stable government at the center
