CHANDIGARH: Top militant and deputy chief of the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) Bachittar Singh Sensra alias Arjan Singh was gunned down in an encounter with security forces near Kapatgarh village in Mayitha police district earlier this month,

Describing the killing of KCF deputy chief Bachittar Singh as a major success, Majitha police district chief Paramjit Singh Gill said that the slain militant, a close associate of the outfit chief Paramjit Singh Panjwar, had been to Pakistan a number of times.

Gill said it was Bachittar Singh who prepared the plan of targetting police families in the state, the slain militant himself led the first cyber strike against police families early last year killing six members of constable’s family at Wadala Verram village followed by another five at Wansaid village in the district.

Security forces arrested two militants in Faridkot district. The SSP of Majitha police district, Paramjit Singh Gill, said that a police road block party had spot ted two persons coming from the opposite side. They were signaled to stop, but they started firing on the road block party, the police also returned the fire in which one militant was killed, who later on was identified as Bachittar Singh Sensra, The other militant escaped.

He was a member of the “hit squad” of ParamjitSingh Panjwar, the KCF supremo.
