NEW DELHI: Abdul Sattar, special envoy of Pakistan Prime Minister, said his visit to India was a token of Islamabad’s desire to maintain and further develop good neighborly relations with India.
“The government and people of Pakistan respect Raja Saheb (Premier Vishwanath Pratap Singh) for his inspiring record of principle based politics in the service of his people,” Sattar who arrived here on a four day visit, said in a statement.
The Pak government sincerely believed that VP Singh’s approach of “friendship not arm twisting or bullying” would provide a sound basis for a qualitatively new atmosphere in’ South: Asia, ‘conducive to the strengthening of mutual trust and confidence and genuine good-neighborly relations, Sattar said.
