AMRITSAR: Three gunmen forcibly entered the house of Sarpanch Dara Singh at Kiralgarh village near Lopoke in this district last night and shot him and his two sons Sardul Singh and Partap Singh. His third son, Malook Singh was injured and admitted to SGTB Hospital here.
The sarpanch had publicly announced to contest the coming panchayat elections despite warnings by militants it is learnt.
However, Mr. G.S. Mann, SSP, Majitha police district, claimed that the killings were the result of personal enmity.
